Within the Xiaomi brand you can find several series designed to meet the needs of a particular group of users:
Xiaomi Redmi Book Pro
It is a laptop designed to offer an attractive design and with very powerful hardware with Intel i5 and i7 / AMD Ryzen 5 or 7 processors, dedicated and integrated NVIDIA GeForce MX GPU and Intel Iris Xe / AMD Radeon respectively, as well as a screen available with 13, 14 and 16 ”(FullHD IPS up to 2.5K resolution and high-density Super Retina panel).
The autonomy is about 12 hours in this case. It can be a great alternative to the Apple Macbook Pro at a lower price and with a Windows operating system.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro

It is a new series that is based on the Notebook Pro, but that arrives enhanced compared to its younger brother. It is a more expensive computer, but its hardware includes the top-of-the-range Intel i5 or i7, dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000 Series Ti graphics, up to 32 GB of RAM, SSD up to 1 TB, autonomy of up to 11.5 hours, and Super OLED screens. Xiaomi Redmi G Gaming
It is a series based on the Redmi, but oriented for gamers. This notebook features the most powerful Intel i5 / i7 processors, plus 16GB of RAM, and dedicated graphics from the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1000-Series. It includes a 16.1 ”screen, FullHD resolution and 60 to 144Hz depending on the model.

Why aren't Xiaomi laptops sold in Spain?
Xiaomi laptops aren't easy to find, although you can buy them from stores like Amazon or from Xiaomi's official Spanish store . The reason they haven't always been available here is due to their keyboard layout. These laptops are built to the US ANSI standard. This shouldn't be a problem, since they've even included the Ñ key.
On the other hand, these devices will arrive directly from the factory in China, and the estimated delivery time to Spain is usually between 3 and 7 days . This is slightly longer than many other models from other brands. However, if you find it in a store with sufficient stock, the wait could be the same as for any other brand.
Do Xiaomi laptops come with a Spanish keyboard? It can be fixed?
They don't actually have a Spanish keyboard layout, as I mentioned before, but they do include the Ñ key, as I cited. This doesn't make them 100% Spanish keyboards, but it's a big help, even if the layout is slightly different. And if you've bought a model that doesn't even include the Ñ, but instead has the English version, you can also convert it. This shouldn't be a problem, since you can change the keyboard layout from the operating system to use any country's layout, including Es_es (Spanish from Spain) with the ISO standard.
To choose the correct layout in the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system , you can follow these steps if it is not configured by default:
- From your Windows 10 go to Start.
- Then open Settings.
- Then enter the Time and language section.
- The next thing is to go to Language.
- In Preferred languages you select the language you want for your keyboard.
- Now is the time to go to the Options button that appears.
- Once inside select Add a keyboard and choose the language you want.
- Accept and go.
Amazon also sells Spanish keyboard stickers that let you transform any keyboard in another language into Spanish. That way, you won't get confused if you're someone who needs to look at the keyboard to type…
Is it worth buying a Xiaomi laptop?
The truth is, they're very high quality, with some of the best designs, and reasonable prices in most cases. And, of course, they feature the latest hardware and technology. Therefore, in principle, they're a fantastic purchase option . However, the limited availability of these devices might deter some buyers.
On the other hand, warranties and technical support could also be a drawback for some, since being from China makes things a bit more complicated, although Xiaomi is gradually improving its infrastructure in more countries. In this case, it might currently be better to opt for other alternatives that do sell from Spain and have better service, such as the Chinese brands Huawei or Lenovo…
